Preach and blog online

I have seen some people setup a Christian cell groups, and blog online, in order to further your belief.

While I have nothing against it, just find it weird.

Now there is an official blog site you can register and preach online, maybe not really official, but at least it is recognize. (Link)

Wafa Sultan, The debate about “backward” Islam

Wafa Sultan, an Arab-American Psychiatrist, didn't only claim that Islam is a “backward” belief, but also states that the clash that we experiences, like terrorist, Iraq war etc, are not the clash of religion, but is about Human rights.
Although the video clip has been view over a million times, but I am pretty sure that Singaporean have no knowledge about this. (Fish tanks, remember?)

China vs America

China fight back US for their “anyhow” annual report on religion and humans rights

America annual report 2006 on China policy stated:

“The space for political openness, public activism and greater civil and individual freedoms is narrowing in China. Over the past year, the Communist Party has tightened its control over religious leaders as well as journalists, intellectuals, the Internet and non-governmental organization.” (Link)

This is part of the full 16 pages report that will surely halt many foreign investors. China did not sit and ignore….

Either the religious leaders rally themselves or“special” forces behind them initiate the move. The Dragon fights back.

Islam – Chairman of the Islam association of China (陈广元), says,
China has about 10 or more minority ethnic groups, Moslem stand about 20 millions of the population. Their life of faith being respected and their religion practices are protected under the law of China. There is no oppression.

Taoism – Chairman of Taoist association (任法融), says,
Ever since the Reformation, China has been working very hard in upholding freedom of religion. America ignores real facts, and uses the prosecution of Falun Group to attack our society. Please bear in mind that the banning of Falun is the will of the people.

Catholic – Vice Chairman of the National Patriotic Association (爱国会), (刘柏年) says,
The annual report twisted a most of the facts and causes a misleading view point. The current Catholic situation is fine. During the last visit the American visited us and compliment on our effort about religious freedom. Why now the contrary reports?

Christian – Association of Christian, Vice Chairman (于新粒), says,
There is truly religious freedom in China. Bible publication has reached 40 millions copies, this is the proof. America is doing the wrong thing to the World. Christian of China object to the way America disrupt others nation internal affair by using the names of Religion.

Much of these debates are unreal for me. In the Internet almost anything can be fake.

Another point need to note is, the general concern of the religious leaders in China are, whether or not they are being oppress. They mention the Falun Groups in many occasions, clearly this is not an issue about religious freedom, it is all about the banning of “cult” they deem dangerous to their traditional belief. This is a justification.

哎呀！害得我以为华人真的开放和进步了。

So much for religious freedom, more like it is determined by numbers.

Did you regret becoming my friend?

Through those years of my unworthy cause, many of my friends left me after they found out what I was trying do.

I could not bring myself to blame them. They have all the rights to sever this friendship.

I began to win back the relationship with my family; they start to see what I was doing.

Sometimes I still meet friends on the street, they are amaze I have 3 children and still surviving. Some people expect you to suffer but secretly hope that you would last and persevere. Yes, I am happy you see me in this way too.

Just like the old time, when I decided to join the RSN, many people advise against it. I act against their better judgments. I stay in the forces for 7 years. I only regret I have there is listened to this arrogant “Batman” not to act freely.

I am a better man, thanks to him.

Last year, my unit calls me, follow by a letter to tell me my service is no longer required, for reason I cannot express here.

As a NS man, I always feel that Serving in Arm Forces is an act of patriotism. It is not when your motive is question, and your heart is misplaced.

Do you seriously believe that those young punks that you recruit are able to defend the nation with their life? You could be sincerely wrong!

I leave the place and found myself another definition of patriotism, one that you cannot comprehend with that worldly thinking of yours.

If you ask me, yes, we are still friend, always.

Magnanimous healer for Humanity

Dr. Zhi Gang Sha experiences a near death during childhood, which he laid coma for sometimes. There onward, he determined to help more people heal, and overcome chronic pain.
This is a kind of self healing technique, not worship. (Link) Although it is claim so, will it in the future become like the Falun Gong? Hard to tell now.

But from what I have gather so far, (and by the look) it is unlikely that man like this would turn to the "side" practice, rather, it is usually the followers that corrupt the practice, and lead more people along.

Dr. Zhi Gang Sha base in Hawaii and teaches his self healing technique there, the movement is at its beginning stage and worth observing.

A good reason for whatever price hike

Due to the ever demanding social requirement, you see lah! I ask you not to vote them complain about safety anymore you dun listen, now they have a reason to ask for another price increase
Actually, my young and beautiful Missy at home is quite supportive with this idea. While I am worry about the infringement of Human rights and privacy, she hash at me and says:

"Who care about your pathetic Human Rights when we are threaten by terroist!"
"But, thats the reason they use to install more camera, before you know it, they gonna put one infront of your door, tap your phone etc."
"Put lah! What's more important? Safety should come first."
"But.. but.."
