Ryuta Kawashima was offered million bucks from the royalties Nintendo DS made out of his popular video game. The man refuses to take it. He live exactly like a proverb I always like to use, especially when I am broke – “腰缠万贯,日进不过三餐,华屋千尺,夜眠亦只数丈。”
He says,
"Everyone in my family is mad at me but I tell them that if they want money, go out and earn it."
"To hear this may put you off -- but my hobby is work,"
"Having fun is not studying. Making them study is not to entertain children but to pressure them to make efforts. People fall to lower and lower places unless they are driven to go higher,"
"I'm confident I'll go senile."

lostin Chinese night – the first military strategist
南洋华文之夜。This is, quote from a famous historical strategist. I cannot find a complete one from the web. I’ll share it here.
“日中必慧,操刀必割,执柯必伐。日中不慧,是谓失时;操刀不割,失利之期;执柯不伐,贼人将来;涓涓不塞,将为江河;荧荧不救,炎炎奈何;两叶不去,将用斧柯;为虺不摧,为蛇若何。”

南洋左右铭 – 寒窗
I make this proverb poster for myself, again. 十年一树木,七载一磨剑,淡泊以名志,藏翼甘待天。

Pre Valentine day – eternal paper heart
The day is fast approaching; I celebrate two Valentine annually, one in Feb, one in Lunar 7 month. This year maybe I will dedicate a sleepless night to make this. Since this is my first, I am not sure how many I can make. To all lovers out there, eternal love means she is flawless in your eyes. (Link)
Knowing the stand of Singapore
We have always been, and will always be, without the need of help from any foreigner. I read this news, without surprise, that Singapore will say, you can complain, and protest, but do it without the assistant of “outsider”. (Link)
I also watch this video, our prestige ivory tower of freedom of expression. After that, my mind slumbers into reality.

Temple of terror
In Owja, few locals, I guess, erect in the tomb of Saddam Hussein, a small shrine. The wall that leads to his resting places reads, “look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair” – the first comment, which is written in this post from DefenseTech.org. How long will a temple of dictator last? (Link)

Sunbath day: Emerge as butterfly
There is this Chinese idiom, 作茧自缚. I would like to change it to 作茧待变. When it seems like self trapped, great power grows within.
