We painted an imperfect picture
I like this paint work for its less than excellent artwork and all historical figure mash up scene. What a grand gathering! How many of them can you recognize?

The Taqwacores, Islam and Punk Rock, now gain popularity among young Muslim in US
I am contemplating this novel by Michael Muhammad Knight. A portmanteau of taqwa, an Islamic concept of love and fear for Allah, and Hardcore, the punk rock sub-genre. Taqwacore thus refers to a genre of Muslim punk rock, existing only in the novel at the time of its writing, but since emerging as an actual genre.
Now on Amazon.com, I hope it will appear soon in Border.

The extra 1 second delay in 2008
What do you do with an extra one second in life? Astronomy.com,
“On December 31, 2008, a "leap second" will be added to the world's clocks at 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).”
This, will dramatically change our count down on 31st Dec? Would you feel the one second older next year? Astronomy.com also reveals an interesting fact that Earth rotation is gradually slowing down, sort of like when you reach 40.

SMS cost 0 to send, really
Via LifeHacker, New York Times news, we are actually, being ‘chop vegetable head’ by our service provider. So, if only I can rally Singaporean to boycott sending SMS, it would be the day the Earth stood still, or rather, Singapore stood still.

2 days left...
It will not have much different, so I publish the result here. Thanks for those whom care and cast theirs. Two hundred and 4 votes in total.
Why do you believe in God?
12(5%) - I am bored
39(19%) – I want to go heaven
8(3%) – I am afraid of hell
47(23%) – I want to add meaning to my life
78(38%) – I don’t
20(9%) – Others
So far, I did not receive any mail. Thanks, this is more accurate than I expected. I take back my skepticism. I will take these 2 days to round up and put up another. It is not about religion this time, but a service survey. Make a guess.

Religion needs no revolution. I think.
About.com talks about some religion evolution here, interesting short quote,
“Judeo-Christianity is rife with such evolution. Jesus strove to change Judaism, but his followers ended up following the new path of Christianity..”
I may add. Many came to change the ‘wrong’ doing of their culture. They got cast down, eventually, even if they were right. Why die trying to change a wave when it is easier to swim to a visible shore? Face humanity with best of your conscience and let history be your testimony.

Street ads of human
What you see here is a poster that a Russia web tries to promote its content by putting up street ads. This one says they got a Large Hadron Collider for sale. I notice little tails at the end of each ad. I am sure many will see how human act similarly here. I find it intriguing, given how vast 2 cultures are.

Stop swearing and do it already
Hmm.. What is the pledge again? I will not have any sexual relationship before marriage, or I will stay true and loyal to one partner? Many keep saying that our mind draws only toward what we think, not away from it. Thinking ‘I will not’ or ‘I shall not’ is going to do put you exactly where you will not.
Oh, but this is old thought already. You already ‘KNEW’ and tried this.
A research report at MSBN, quotes,
“Teenagers who pledge to remain virgins until marriage are just as likely to have premarital sex as those who do not promise abstinence and are significantly less likely to use condoms and other forms of birth control when they do..”
