Duck @ Suntec

As I have promised my family a trip out of Singapore, but too busy lah, lazy to go too far away and also I'm broke. So I propose -- the one and only Singapore Duck Tour.

At least we are 'out of Singapore' you know, not to say oversea.

Here we go!

I am surprise it is full, consider it to be a weekdays, the duckie on board are mostly tourist, but hehe, they don't know we are local duck, so we pretend pretend a bit.

Just for info, they give local's a 40% discount on weekdays, this is the first time I enjoy special rate as a Singaporean, way to go! but it would be great if we also get discount at the zoo, science centre, bird park etc etc.

The young and charming tour guide, all duckie are enchanted by his powderful Singlish, I mean English, really!

He is also quite well verse in some Singapore history and culture, better than I'm when at his age.


Red leaves cover the ground, and you thought you only get to see this in europe, it sure bring back lots of oversea's memories.

Splash.. but no splash, what a disappointment, who told us we will get wet? But according to the guide, we should, so maybe next time.

As usual, the sea is calm, hardly a wave, in my opinion of course.

At a distance we see Sheares, not almost as glory as he was once build, but nevertheless still stand as a manificient sturture in Singapore.

Now, where can you get such a view in Singapore?


The boat man, a 'sunset' business here, forgotten sometimes even by our older generation.

all and all it is bout an hour trip, fast and furious, no time to ponder too much, but we do get some facts about Singapore:

- our population is actually 4.2 millions with 1 million expat, got it?
- so it is about approx 1640 humans per square km.
- the certificate to own a car is the most expensive in the whole world, more expensive to own a spouse.
- Mandrian Marina is suppose to look like an elephant.
- our 1 dollar coin is make to look like a '八卦' , advise given to our MM by a renoun monk to give each S'porean one. But this is just a rumours.
- The new supreme court is bigger than St. Andrew cathedral.
- The world record for climbing up the 72 storey Raffles tower is 6 minutes, bit that!

The unfortunate lady of Singapore

I use to visit Tanjong Pagar quite regularly, it has almost become my second home.

Today as I walk by the usual spot and notice this spot of plant that I always have a strange feeling. this feeling is specially stronger this time, my camera cum MP did a good job and I have about 2 ~ 3 shots.

But the plant did not look the same since the last time we seen it, the color is not so bright any more, she lost her vibrancy since dunno when. I still can remember asking my child to pamper this beautiful lady when she was at her most look-upon time, but now, alas! she has all become but a 'street hooker', sleep with occasion old man who has no place to go.

You can also notice that no one will even cast a look on her, passer by just treat her like part of this detroitorating world, soon she will be forgotten.

Who is she? she don't look like who she is before and no one care how she feel anymore than how we think about this world. I swear sometimes I can see her weep in the nite, all swallow by the surrounding bright spot light from the nearby nite spot.

Have been talking to a few friends in Singapore lately, most of them agree that this country is undergoing a change, the most talk about in many industrial now is "outsource".

I will express my view, the current world we are facing now is very much like the galaxy of star wars, with dark forces lurking every corner, holding high post and playing key role in many aspect of our society, it is no wonder more and more people start to question about the value in living.

Many jobs has been lay off, overseas and here, many become "contractor" to keepup the competitiion. In short term view, this seem to have a very good effect, people start to 'buckup' and tighten their belt to stay alive. But time will tell, as more and more join in the rat race. Will there be an end to all of this?

Creating good live is about creating jobs now, not about ensuring the well being of the people.

Ther is a hidden waves moving below here, if not careful, one maybe cosume by it.

I have been eating indomi mi-goreng for quite some time now, it is one of singapore best self cook dry noodle, fast and yamyam! but maybe is time for me to try new noodle now, I am very imjim in food you know, got to to choose carefully.

One wrong move and we're doom for few years, so got to cast your vote real careful, this is how I regard food also, don't pray prey, no use.

I sit there quietly and think about how I can educate my boy about 'strategy', he is going join SAF someday ma! this cannot escape one! unless I go change my surname or buy a horse you know.

Meantime we have finish tearing down the 600 pieces of plastic miniature army, he is excited and keep papa but ask why so troublesome one? This is going to take time, imagine all the structure are in place, all men are well settle and hold key role in every places, they are rich going to be richer, and with the undead forces they have....., oh hold on! think I'm going wild.

Anyway behind the box is like "SAVE THE WORLD...OR JUST CONQUER IT." I think if I have the money, conquer it would be easilier. But this have to wait, I only have European map, wait til I get the asia one, then we talk.

A coin worth of thought

I have started this plan for some time, although it is still very little, but given time it will glow into something. Sign....! there is no job security here now, who know one day you may see me in geylang bauguu and bend down, please don't greet me if you do.

Although this is but a S$0.20, but hei! unlike CPF, you put this in you pocket and you can feel the weight, in your hand and feel the shape, it's cold hard cash.

But than again, somehow you will felt that it get smaller and smaller spirtually each year, sort of the same feeling you have for the paper you get from whatever school you attended. Like I have warn my boy, you either be the biggest player or don't play.

so much so for the conspiracy, I am just the minority group here, no match for the conspirator.
