Bright sun clears view in Singapore

This is not a post about weather in Singapore. I am linking to this news and ranting. Now it has been like that for the past 20 years, no one few know where actually the monies go. Only few will be interested in what it is use for now.

Btw, it should get more relevant for those who wanted to join contribute. It is like *ahem*… religion...

lostin howto: spot Singapore heavenly light

In spite of Singapore population, I trust no one ever spotted a sudden flare for sky that last for few second, and as bright as star. I don’t even think it is possible to see this here. What is pity. It is know as Iridium Flare, otherwise call satellite glint, (Link) to WikiHow, and (Link) to Heaven above site.

This is not an incredible nature sight, but I certainly hope Singapore astrologist could spot and document some on the web.

Side note to myself: a flinch of hope, someone may claims to have seen spiritual phenomena or UFO.

Update: I am surprise at how many Singaporean astronomy enthusiasts there are, after reading this and this and this. Thanks, NightEvents.

lostin proverb of the night: what horse are you riding

勇气是马，美德如将军。

将军无马，寸步难行。
马无骑士，横冲乱聘。
两者合倂，则无往而不利。

The living goddess of Nepal resigned

Nowadays, it seem like everyone talks about quitting their job. I hope everything will turn better for Singaporean. Even Kumari quits her position, what else cannot happen.

Here is the news. Here is my previous rant about this…

Youtube: Micro universe

Here is an amazing simulated video of how cells in our body so life like, more orderly than an average human society even in our modern age. So well simulated that it is like propagating intelligent design. (Video)

Map of exact history

Here is a great map of history from this article which tells the world what happened. The rest are just misleading. Never entirely trust what others said, they got it from what others have “said”.

An evil history of beliefs

I took some time to watch this Youtube video – a history of evil. I would say that it is more like history of evil religious people. It is so true that religion has done more evil than any other people, but foundation of philosophy deeds are sacrifices brought by their pioneer. It cannot be easily thrown away. (Video)

Youtube: Short, continuous torment

Here is a sad song for you, world shortest lyric ever. By continuously listen to this song subject your brain to history most unanswered question. The lyric is literally “You suffer, but why?” not what 90% of human on earth care about, that’s why is so short. (Link) Wiki entry here.

The best online Chinese dictionary

I have been using this for quite some time now. Although few of my friends point out that this site is a bit “Red”, but it is one of the greatest, if not the greatest online Chinese dictionary. It packs 70 thousand Chinese words, plus idioms and all their origin; there is even audio pronunciation on almost every word.

kick-ass resource for anyone who wanted to learn about Chinese/Mandarin. (Link)

Guidance

We always lose a war with him. You cannot fight love especially when it has been given away. It is in these days that we are reminded of the core of human life. He is the reason for us to be here.

Many times in life we are frustrated with how little he understand us, that we tied white bands on them, on which is written, ‘mischievous’, ‘rebellious’, ‘unbecoming’, and most of the time we realized it is us who understand so little about humanity.

Our love is so much limited, inadequate.

Ah yes, I remember this boy. He remembers today’s joy but forgot yesterday resentment. He is not bother by tomorrow’s burden, but enjoys every single moment now. He lives deep within me.

Oh yes, that pair of eyes, which sees no fault in humanity, smile at colorful rainbow but blind to skin color. They will bring greater deeds than what we can conceive.

I sail in stormy seas without fear, but I am disquiet by how much I can bestow, what kind of a world I leave for him. We cannot be his light, we are just lamp post.

I remember a friend once told me, raising man is like raising tree. You must use methods when it is not growing straight, but environment plays an important role.

As I see at those amazement and joys that he never fails to bring to me, I am hopeful. He looks so sure and I will not let him down.

Sunbath Day: Once in a life time

Behind me, few Caucasian women lied there in bikini, enjoying the bright sun. As a man, it is tempting to just turn around. I guess my age is catching up on me.

Yesterday philosophy of Humanity

William James said,
“Many human think that they are thinking when they are actually rearranging their prejudices”

lostin says,
“Every human prejudice against one another, they just don’t know it yet.”

I am about to finish Alienist by Caleb Carr, next book is The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.
